How To Choose A Vet

In my opinion, a good vet is one who takes time to get to know your puppy, handles him gently, tries to ensure as best he can that his experience with be a positive one.
If your vet handles your puppy roughly, seems impatient, doesn't try to make any type of connection with your puppy, you may want to rethink your choice.
It's not unusual to visit a number of clinics and veterinarians before making a decision. It's also not unusual to change your mind.

Dog Parks and Your New Puppy

We all have good intentions with regards to socializing our new puppies. Dog owners are much more aware of the concept of socialization which is great. In my experience, when most people talk about "socializing" their puppy, they are referring to exposure to other dogs and children. What's important to remember is that there is much more to socialization than merely exposing your dog to other dogs and children.
